Welcome
and thank you for visiting my web site. My name is Nick
and I have experienced just about every aspect of the
communications world there is. This web site features
my demo tape
along with other information pertaining to my career
in communications, marketing and media relations.
I'm
originally from St. Louis, MO and have been working
in the communications field for 10 years. I have experience
in print, television, radio and internet media.
Jobs
included media relations, on-air host, news anchor,
sports anchor, play-by-play,
production, voice
over work as well as web site administrator. I have
also designed and constructed 12 separate web sites
including the one you are currently on.
From 2005-08
I worked in Minor League Baseball broadcasting baseball
games, and it was a blast! I got to travel up and down
the east coast on a bus and travel to different towns
and see different ball parks.
With
my time in the Minors I compiled over 500 game recaps,
close to 300 press releases and a lot of great stories!
I also developed my skills on the computer with web
and graphic design work as well as print layout. I have
worked as a project manager overseeing jobs and coordinating
many different tasks during a day.
I broadcasted
nearly 500 games while working in Minor League Baseball
and really became comfortable not only behind the microphone
but also infront of the camera!!
2008
marked the sixth season in baseball for me and the season
was capped off by broadcasting the South
Atlantic League Championship Series with the GreenJackets
winning 4-3. The GreenJackets were also named the top
team in all of Minor League Baseball when the 2008 season
was concluded.
I have been recognized
both regionally and nationally in the field of broadcasting.
In 2000, I was awarded a national award from the International
Radio and Television Society for sports reporting. In
2001 I again was recognized as a finalist, this time
regionally in the Midwest for audio production from
the National Broadcasting Society.
That's pretty
much my career wrapped up for you. Feel free to look
around and contact
me. I would love to hear from you and more importantly...work
with you!
